About Dr Augustine Arimoro
Dr Augustine Arimoro is a UK-based Law
Lecturer. He holds a Bachelor of Laws, a Master of Laws and PhD in Law degrees
from Universities in Nigeria, South Africa, and the United Kingdom. He has taught
law undergraduate and postgraduate modules in at least three UK universities and
supervises students’ research.
An active researcher, Augustine has contributed
several articles to leading peer-reviewed journals. He is the author of Public-Private Partnerships in Emerging Economies,
a monograph published by Routledge in 2020. Augustine regularly attends
conferences and workshops where he shares his research outputs. He is a
reviewer for several journals including the Journal of
African Law, Journal of Human Rights and Social Work, International Journal of
Construction Management, and Journal of Comparative Law in Africa,
among others.
Augustine's academic
publications have been cited by several organisations and international
agencies including the European Parliamentary Research Service's report on Being an LGBTI Person in African Countries, the
Institute of Development Studies report on Inclusion Works Nigeria Situational Analysis Version II -
June 2020 the Executive Secretary and Special Advisor to the
UNAS Council report on Public-Private Partnerships for the Sustainable
Development Goals among others.
Before joining
academia, Augustine was a Wealth Advisor with Asset & Resource Management
Company Ltd (ARM Investment Managers), one of Africa's leading non-banking
financial institutions. In that role, Augustine managed the firm's
relationships with at least 60 high-net-worth private and institutional clients
and advised on bespoke investment portfolios.
Augustine is a
Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria.
